Many soldiers in the military have adopted a drop leg extender or 'tactical platform' for equipping more gear. The modular panel clips around your thigh and belt, then MOLLE pouches and holsters can be attached to the ladder webbing system. On the field of battle, a soldier may want to carry a sidearm, torch, knife or additional magazines.

These leg panels are made of a padded and flexible polyester fabric for a comfortable fit on intense missions. The panel secures around your leg with two quick-release buckles, featuring semi-elasticated straps. At the top, an adjustable hook & loop strap and buckle connects the base to your BDU belt. The whole affair can be swiftly detached from your person in three quick release buckle clicks.
